2009 WAVES

stand design for the Galerie Knoll at the Viennafair 2009

To avoid the common white cube aesthetic favoured by the art market, two 3.5m high waves were printed in b/w on ordinary A3 paper providing a more dynamic setting. The visual turmoil of the background presented a challenge to the artwork on show. A pulpit made from an old closet, ski poles and an umbrella was used for speeches in the course of the art fair and open to use by visitors — e.g. Karl Kilian delivered his famous Kosmoprolet Manifest.
