2008 CHAPEL
Installation
KnollGalerie Vienna (A)
A chapel was constructed using the floor plans of different medieval Gothic chapels in a light shaft for the gallery, which was used for storage (1.8m x 2.3m) and a boiler room (1.8m x 1.2m). Old construction materials from an exhibition that had just ended at the Generali Foundation (an art institution nearby specialising in conceptual art) were re-used, such as broken wooden panels, bundles of cable casings, cardboard, plastic hoses etc. to construct the small two-room church.
